Collection: Curly Hair Extensions
Here's the thing nobody tells you about curly extensions: matching the curl pattern matters more than matching the color. I ordered "long" coily extensions once and they dried up to shoulder length, because I didn't account for shrinkage. With curls, you match your pattern first and you plan for how much they draw up, and then they blend like they grew from your scalp.
What you'll find here:
- Kinky curly for tight 3b to 4a corkscrew coils
- Afro kinky for the tightest 4b to 4c zigzag texture
- Jerry curl and Indian curly for defined, glossy spirals
- 100% human hair that holds its curl through many washes

Why curl-pattern matching is the whole game
With straight hair you can fudge it, but with curls a mismatch shows immediately. If your natural hair is tight 3c corkscrews and you buy loose 3a spirals, it looks like someone else's hair sitting on yours. Find your pattern first: kinky curly for defined 3b to 4a coils, afro kinky for tight 4b to 4c zigzag, jerry curl for glossy uniform spirals. Color is the easy adjustment once the pattern is right.

Understanding shrinkage, and planning for it
This is the part that surprises everyone. Curly hair looks shorter dry than wet, because the coil draws up. Type 3 curls shrink roughly 20 to 50 percent, and type 4 coils can shrink 50 to 90 percent. So 18-inch afro kinky might wear closer to 4 to 8 inches once it springs up and dries. Add 2 to 4 inches to the length you actually want, and you won't be let down when it dries to its natural pattern.
Keeping curls defined
Curly textures need moisture more than anything, and type 4 hair especially, because the tight pattern keeps your scalp's natural oils from traveling down the strand. Wash once a week at most, since curls hide second-day texture well. Between washes, refresh by misting with water, working in a leave-in or curl cream, and scrunching. Match your products to your pattern, with lighter water-based formulas for looser curls and richer butters and oils for tight coils.
Why shop our curly hair
Cheap curly extensions tangle, mat, and lose their pattern after a few washes. Ours hold their curl through many washes, blend with your natural texture, and last for months with proper moisture. We carry the patterns that are hardest to match anywhere else, like afro kinky and jerry curl, so tight-textured hair finally has a real match. Doing a sew-in instead of clip-ins? There's an afro kinky curly closure too. And if locs are the goal, our human hair dreadlock extensions guide shows which coily hair builds the best ones.
Ready to match your texture?
Name your curl pattern first, then add your shrinkage allowance to the length, then pick your color. In that order, curly extensions blend like they're yours.
Once you've nailed your pattern, the attachment method is up to you. The same curls come as quick clip-ins you put in at home, or as sew-in bundles and matching closures for an install that lasts. Both branch off the broader extensions selection, and the rest of the catalog is right there when you want to compare textures.

Curly Hair FAQs
Why is shrinkage such a big deal with curly extensions?
It changes the length you actually wear. Type 3 hair shrinks 20 to 50 percent and type 4 hair shrinks 50 to 90 percent, so order 2 to 4 inches longer than your goal. You can always trim, but you can't add length back.
Can I use the same products on all curly extension types?
No. Looser type 2 to 3a textures want light, water-based products, while type 3b to 4c textures want heavier butters and oils. The wrong products leave curls either dry and frizzy or weighed down and greasy.
How often should I wash curly extensions?
Once a week at most, maybe twice if they're really dirty. Curls hide second-day texture well, so between washes just mist with water, add a leave-in or curl cream, and scrunch to refresh.
Will curly extensions work if my natural hair is straight?
It depends on how tight the pattern is. Loose waves can blend, but tight coils on naturally straight hair won't sit right unless you style your own hair to match each time you wear them.
How do I keep the curls from frizzing?
Keep them moisturized, scrunch rather than brush, and protect them at night with a silk scarf or bonnet. Brushing dry curls breaks up the pattern and that's where frizz comes from.
