Collection: Tape-In Hair Extensions
Real talk, tape-ins are the flattest, most comfortable extensions I've worn, and they're the ones people never clock. They lie right against your head, so they sit smooth under your own hair and move naturally. The trade is upkeep, because the bonds get moved up as your hair grows. Nobody warns you about that 6 to 8 week move-up, so consider yourself warned, and then enjoy waking up with hair that already looks done.
What you'll find here:
- Lightweight wefts that lie flat and stay comfortable all day
- 100% human hair you can wash, curl, straighten, and color
- Textures from straight to body wave to kinky curly, so they blend with yours
- Reusable through multiple move-ups with proper care
Shop body wave tape-ins, or browse below. New to the method? Our tape-in guide covers grams, placement, and clean removal. Growing out a shorter cut? Here's why extensions on short hair behave the way they do.
How much hair, and will it actually blend?
If your hair is already long and you just want volume, 50 to 100 grams does it. For full coverage and added length, plan on 100 grams and up. The blend comes down to texture, not just color. If your hair is naturally straight but you want waves, buy straight tape-ins and curl them, because trying to straighten curly extensions every single day is how you cook them. Match the texture you wear most days and you're set.

The wash-day reality
Here's the honest part. Tape-ins are not zero-maintenance magic. You wash about once a week, and the wash-and-dry routine takes real time, because the bonds need to be fully dry before bed or they slip. Shampoo at the scalp and let the suds run down the lengths. Keep heavy conditioner away from the bonds. Dry the bonds completely. Do that, and one set carries you through several move-ups.
Moving them up
As your natural hair grows, the bonds drift down and need repositioning every 6 to 8 weeks. You can learn the sandwich method and do it yourself: a thin section of your hair, one tape piece underneath, one on top, left about a quarter inch off the scalp so the bond can move with your hair. Start at the nape and work up, and stay an inch off your hairline and part so nothing peeks when the wind hits.
Why shop our tape-ins
Cheap tape-ins mat after one wash, and you cannot undo that. Ours are virgin and raw human hair that holds up to real life, gym sweat, rain, sleeping on it wrong, and stays soft through multiple installs. We carry textures that match natural hair instead of that permanent glassy-straight look nobody actually has all day. Prefer bone-straight or a defined wave? Compare the straight and body wave sets and pick the one closest to your everyday hair.
Ready for easier mornings?
Start with straight tape-ins for a classic look or body wave for effortless texture, and give yourself one calm afternoon for the first install. After that, it's the lowest-effort hair you'll own.
Not sold on the upkeep? Tape-ins aren't your only route to long hair. Clip-ins come out every night and ask nothing of you between wears, while a sew-in trades more chair time for the fullest, longest-wearing result. Compare them across the main extensions range, or open all our hair categories at once.

Tape-In Extension FAQs
How do I wash my hair with tape-ins?
Shampoo at the scalp and let the lather rinse through the lengths. Keep conditioner off the bonds, since slippage starts there, and make sure the bonds are bone-dry before bed. Sulfate-free shampoo is the one product worth being strict about.
How often do the bonds need moving up?
Every 6 to 8 weeks, as your own hair grows out and the bonds drift down the shaft. Stretch it much past 8 and you risk tangling at the root.
Can I install tape-ins myself, or do I need a stylist?
You can absolutely DIY with the sandwich method. Start in the back where small mistakes hide, and your first install will be slower than your fifth.
Do I need special products?
Sulfate-free shampoo is a must. Beyond that, just avoid oils and heavy conditioners near the bonds, since both loosen the adhesive.
Will tape-ins damage my natural hair?
Not with correct placement and timely move-ups. Problems come from bonds set too close to the scalp or left in too long, so leave that quarter inch and keep to the 6 to 8 week schedule.
