How much hair, and will it actually blend?
Most full installs land between 100 and 200 grams, with thicker or longer hair at the higher end. Texture decides the blend as much as color does. Buy the pattern closest to your everyday hair so you are not fighting it with heat every morning. If your cut is blunt, add an extra pack higher up to smooth the transition.
Re-tape, re-wear, repeat
Tape-ins are real human hair, so one set carries you through several move-ups before the hair needs replacing. Every six to eight weeks you remove the wefts, clean off the old adhesive, apply fresh replacement tape, and reattach them closer to the scalp. The hair itself lasts eight months to a year with proper care because it is cuticle-aligned and holds its texture through washing and restyling. That re-tape cycle is why tape-ins cost less over time than methods you cannot reinstall.

The wefts bond with a thin adhesive strip rather than sewing onto a braid or clipping to a root, so they sit against the head without bulk.
