Nothing has been done to this 1B, so it takes dye evenly and lifts to a warm honey, and it will hold bleach as long as you keep it at #1B. Do your color while the hair is still loose though, because once a loc is formed the inside barely takes color and you get patchy results. Lighten or tone the pack first, then build the loc.

You portion it out by hand and work it straight into your own hair, and because it is a real 4C afro kinky coil it holds a twist, feeds a braid, and locks into a dreadlock without fighting you. On type 4 hair the match is invisible, which is the one thing synthetic braiding hair can never do once you get up close.
How Much Hair Your Loc Style Needs
The pack system takes the guesswork out. A loc repair or a small fill wants one to two packs. Mini twists and micro locs, where the sections are small and there are a lot of them, run three to four. A full head of dreadlock extensions sits around four to five, and large or thick locs need five or more.
